Mabel Mae's Bakery

Mabel Mae's Bakery creates amazing delicious yet healthy treats like lemon bars and berry crumble "funfetti" cupcakes, all without refined flours or sugars. All items are vegan and gluten-free. Order from her website or find her at local markets.


Newport's Naturals

Newport's Naturals sells handcrafted vegan bath and body products like soaps, lotions, and lip balms along with natural cleaning products like laundry detergent and dish soap. Plus, all packaging is biodegradable or reusable! The store also carries other eco-friendly items like reusable shopping bags and home decor. Newport's Naturals products can be purchased at local markets or online.

Nordic Cooking is a vegan and gluten-free business that provides vegan meal boxes, cooking classes and catering services. They also do custom cake orders. It is based out of Daniel Island.

The Other Plate

The Other Plate makes delicious chocolate chip cookies with wholesome, vegan ingredients. They can be ordered online for shipment anywhere in the US or can be bought at several area businesses like the Veggie Bin downtown or Eucalyptus Wellness Company in Mount Pleasant. 


Patagonian Queen Gluten Free

Patagonian Queen makes a variety of baked goods, savory foods, and desserts-all gluten free. They can be ordered online or purchased at local markets. Most items are vegan though some contain animal products. Menu items include banana bread, lemon pound cake and Argentinian specialties like empanadas and quince pie.

The Pita Stroller

The Pita Stroller is a Mediterranean food truck. They offer several veggie items such as falafel pita, dolmades and tabouli salad. Their hummus is NOT vegan (it is made with yogurt) but can be subbed with tahini on the falafel pita. Check out their calendar and menu at:

Seaside Healthy Life

Seaside Healthy Life is a vegan-owned local business that sells freshly made vegan queso, salsa, hummus, chocolate peanut butter balls and other vegan treats at local farmers' markets. They also sell fresh lemonade and iced tea.​ Check out their Facebook page for their market schedule.

The Stone Soup Collective is a wonderful organization that makes delicious vegan soup, mostly from local produce. They utilize a "buy one, give one" model: for every bowl of soup you purchase, another is gifted to a person in need!

Chef TR offers vegan cooking classes, nutrition consultations and personal chef services. But she is probably best known for her Un-Cheesecake, a deliciously creamy, vegan and mostly raw dessert that can be ordered with a variety of flavors like strawberry, chocolate, key lime, and peanut butter cup.
